Terms of Service

1. Service Description

SynapseCom is a private, end-to-end encrypted messaging and calling platform provided by Cabakorp. The service enables secure communication within organizations through encrypted text messages, voice calls, and video calls.

Each organization receives dedicated, isolated infrastructure including separate application servers, databases, and encryption key management systems.

2. Eligibility and Access

Access to SynapseCom is provided exclusively through organizational agreements. Individual users are onboarded through secure invitation codes issued by their organization's administrator.

  • You must be authorized by your organization to use the service
  • You must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
  • You must provide accurate information during registration
  • Invitation codes are single-use and expire after a set period

3. Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and devices:

  • Keep your device secure with a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID
  • Do not share your account credentials or device access with unauthorized persons
  • Report any suspected unauthorized access to your organization administrator immediately
  • Log out of or remove devices you no longer use
  • Enable device lock features within the app for additional security

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use SynapseCom only for lawful purposes and in accordance with your organization's policies. You must not:

  • Use the service for any illegal activities
  • Attempt to circumvent, disable, or interfere with security features
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
  • Transmit malware, viruses, or other malicious code
  • Impersonate other users or organizations
  • Use the service to harass, threaten, or harm others
  • Share your account access with unauthorized individuals
  • Attempt to access other organizations' data or infrastructure

5. End-to-End Encryption

SynapseCom uses the Signal Protocol for end-to-end encryption. This means:

  • Only you and your intended recipients can read your messages
  • Cabakorp cannot decrypt or read your message content
  • We cannot comply with requests to provide message content, as we do not have access to it
  • You are responsible for the security of your own devices where messages are decrypted
  • If you lose access to your device, messages stored locally may be unrecoverable

6. Device Management

Your account may be linked to multiple devices. Each device:

  • Generates its own encryption keys stored in the device's Secure Enclave or Keychain
  • Must be verified before use
  • Can be remotely revoked by you or your organization administrator
  • Maintains its own local message history

Your organization administrator may revoke device access at any time in accordance with your organization's security policies.

7. Voice and Video Calls

SynapseCom provides encrypted voice and video calling. By using these features, you agree that:

  • Calls are transmitted peer-to-peer when possible, or through relay servers when necessary
  • All call media is encrypted with DTLS-SRTP
  • Call history is stored locally on your device only
  • You must have appropriate permissions (microphone/camera) enabled
  • You are responsible for complying with any applicable call recording laws in your jurisdiction

8. Data Ownership

Your organization retains full ownership of all data transmitted through the platform. Due to our end-to-end encryption architecture:

  • Message content is accessible only on authorized devices
  • Your organization administrator cannot read your encrypted messages
  • Your organization may set data retention policies that affect message expiration
  • Upon leaving your organization, your access will be revoked

9. Emergency Features

SynapseCom includes an emergency "panic button" feature that allows organization administrators to immediately delete all organization data in crisis situations. You acknowledge that:

  • Activation of the panic feature permanently and irreversibly deletes all messages, conversations, and account data for the entire organization
  • All devices will be disconnected and all user accounts deactivated
  • This data cannot be recovered once deleted
  • This feature is controlled by your organization administrator

10. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice when possible
  • Experience unplanned outages due to technical issues or circumstances beyond our control
  • Update or modify the service to improve functionality or security

The service requires an internet connection. Call quality may be affected by network conditions.

11. Intellectual Property

The SynapseCom application, including its design, features, and underlying technology, is the intellectual property of Cabakorp. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application in accordance with these Terms.

You retain ownership of the content you create and share through the service.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Cabakorp shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • We are not liable for any loss of data due to the panic feature being activated by your organization
  • We are not liable for inability to recover encrypted data if you lose access to your device
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by your organization for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim

13. Termination

Your access to SynapseCom may be terminated:

  • By your organization administrator at any time
  • By us if you violate these Terms
  • By us if your organization's agreement with us ends
  • By your organization using the emergency panic feature

Upon termination, you must delete the application from your devices. Locally stored data on your device may remain until you delete the app.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of SynapseCom shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Czech Republic.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes through the app or by email. Your continued use of SynapseCom after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
